Fully Funded Courses

I thought all of you should know about these fantastic courses that are fully funded by the NZTE (New Zealand Trade & Enterprise). WHK Gosling Chapman runs them on behalf of the NZTE for the Auckland region and I’m sure they are available outside of Auckland as well.

The first step is to under go a Business Assessment. This can be done over the phone and it helps them to identify the courses that would be the best for you and your business needs. They have over 50 courses that cover a wide range of business topics, such as Business Planning, Marketing, Accounting, HR, Exporting and Business Systems. They even have industry specific courses, so that you can attend a course that has been tailored for your industry, along with other people from your industry. Making it a great way to network with relevant contacts, so take plenty of business cards!

A few years ago I did the business planning, effective goal setting, introduction to small business tax and costing & pricing. Also as a follow up, each person receives an hour of free coaching that can be used after you have had a chance to think about the information in the context of your business.

I highly recommend these courses, even to those people that just need a refresher. On every course I picked up something something valuable that has helped me with my business, or even helped me to help one of my clients. All you need to provide is your time and commitment to learning.
